Parent Hope Project & Parent Confidence Project Coaching
The Parent Hope Project is a social enterprise dedicated to coaching and empowering parents of struggling children, in reclaiming their confidence and leadership as the most valuable asset for their children's mental health and well-being. It is a program based on Bowen Family Systems Theory aimed at building independence and resilience in young people.
The Parent Confidence Project is a similar program aimed at early intervention for parents who want to optimise the ways they interact and raise their children.
Online individual coaching
Fees: $220 per 50 minute session
Medicare rebate of $136.35 available for 10 sessions per calendar year with an appropriate Mental Health Care Plan.
Group programs
Groups are run face to face at various points throughout the year in the Illawarra area. Medicare rebates also available with an appropriate Mental Health Care Plan. Please follow this page for upcoming dates and events. Alternatively, contact us for more information.

Schema Therapy
Schema Therapy is an effective, long term, evidence-based approach to treating a variety of mental health disorders. It combines elements of cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and psychodynamic therapies to help identify and change maladaptive schemas and self-defeating patterns of behaviour.

Meet our psychologist

Ahmed is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families in public mental health, child protection and school settings. He also has experience in the private sector across a variety of issues.
He has a special interest in Schema Therapy and Bowen Family Systems Theory.
